Deer Lake WWTP and Sanitary Upgrades

System Design Engineering, Inc. was instrumental in assisting the Deer Lake Municipal Authority(DLMA) to be acquired by the Schuylkill County Municipal Authority (SCMA) to enable DLMA to get out of severe regulatory pressures and financial difficulty. SCMA then retained SDE to design and implement a $21 M project funded by PENNVEST and Commonwealth Financing Authority. This regionalized solution consolidated 5 existing treatment plants serving 4 municipalities. The project included a 1.0 MGD Oxidation Ditch WWTP, 3 pump stations, 12 miles of collection and conveyance line designed by SDE managing 15 contracts.
